This dog photo embroidered sweatshirt turns your favorite picture of your dog into a full-color embroidered portrait: the ears, eye color, coat markings and happy open mouth are traced from your photo and stitched in thread. You can frame the face with one of six flower wreaths, add your dog’s name in the font you like, and put a small paw, heart or bone on the sleeve. Every stitch is 100% real embroidery, stitched into the fabric rather than printed, and you see a free digital proof before we start.

What can you personalize on the dog photo embroidered sweatshirt?

The dog photo embroidered sweatshirt has 5 choices:

The portrait: your dog’s face, drawn from the photo you upload.
The wreath: one of six designs from the wreath chart in the photos, or no wreath.
The position: left chest, center chest or right chest.
The name: your dog’s name under the portrait or on the left or right sleeve, in one of eight fonts.
The sleeve icon: one of seven paws, hearts or a bone from the icon chart, or none.

Which flower wreath can you choose?

You can choose from 6 wreaths, numbered on the wreath chart in the photos:

1 – Lavender: purple lavender sprigs on both sides.
2 – Wildflowers: orange and yellow wildflowers on curved stems.
3 – Daisy Branches: white daisies on thin branches, as in the sweatshirt photos.
4 – Halloween: autumn branches with two little ghosts, a bat and a spider.
5 – Green Leaf Circle: a full ring of green leaves.
6 – Daisy and Blossom Circle: a ring of daisies with pink and orange blossoms.

Choose No wreath for the portrait and name on their own, as in the first photo.

How do you order your dog photo sweatshirt?

To order your dog photo sweatshirt, follow 6 steps:

Choose the garment, color and size in the options above.
Pick a wreath and the position of the portrait on the chest.
Type your dog’s name and choose where it goes and the font, or leave the name blank.
Pick a sleeve icon, or keep No icon.
Upload a clear photo of your dog’s face.
Add it to your cart; we email a free design proof.

Which photo works best?

A clear, well-lit photo of your dog’s whole face works best. Both eyes and both ears should be in the picture, taken at your dog’s eye level, without blur, heavy filters or anything covering the face. A bright photo shows the real coat colors, so the thread colors on the proof match your dog. The photo guide in the gallery shows good and poor examples.

Which garment and color should you choose?

Choose the garment, color and size in the options above; the photos show a sample sweatshirt in a light green shade. A light garment suits a dark-coated dog, and a darker garment suits a light-coated dog.

Is there a dog photo embroidered hoodie?

Yes. Choose Hoodie in the first option and the same portrait, wreath, name and sleeve icon go on a hoodie, which turns this into a dog photo embroidered hoodie. More hooded portrait designs are in our custom pet hoodies.

What happens after you order?

We email you a free digital design proof, and you can ask for unlimited edits, including a different wreath or font. Once you approve it, we embroider your piece to order and ship it from the USA; the estimated delivery date is shown on this page. For a birthday or a holiday, order at least two weeks ahead.

Which size should you choose?

Each piece is made to order from your photo, so it is not eligible for size exchanges. Open the size guide on this page and compare the measurements with a top you already own before you order, and size up if you are between sizes.

How should you wash an embroidered sweatshirt?

To keep the embroidery bright and flat, follow 4 steps:

Turn the sweatshirt inside out before washing.
Wash it cold on a gentle cycle.
Tumble dry low or hang it to dry.
Iron on the reverse side, never directly on the embroidery.

Frequently asked questions

Is the portrait printed or embroidered?

It is embroidered. The portrait, the wreath, the name and the sleeve icon are stitched in thread, so they have a raised texture you can feel and will not crack or peel like a print.

Can I put two dogs on one sweatshirt?

This design holds one dog. For two to four pets on one piece, choose the multi-pet portrait sweatshirt, and find more designs in our custom dog sweatshirts.

Is it a custom dog sweatshirt with flowers for a memorial?

It can be. A custom dog sweatshirt with flowers is a gentle way to remember a dog who has passed, and the dog memorial sweatshirt offers twenty wreaths made for that purpose. This design is just as often a gift for a dog mom, a dog dad or a new puppy owner.
